HR leaders explore the future of flexible work in Argentina

The labor landscape in Argentina is constantly changing, and in light of this scenario, human resources leaders play a crucial role in adapting and preparing their organizations for the future.

In line with this need, WeWork and Michael Page held the second edition of the Leaders Roundtable, an event that brought together leading professionals in the sector to analyze and discuss emerging trends and the expectations of workers in the country.

The event began with an introduction by Romina Dieppa, People Manager of WeWork for the Southern Cone. Dieppa highlighted the importance of creating these spaces where leaders can share their experiences and perspectives on the future of work, emphasizing that building a work environment adapted to new demands requires ongoing dialogue between the actors in the sector.

“The company adapted to the needs of our clients and potential clients, understanding today that new work schemes, especially flexible work schemes, are taking center stage,” said the People Manager.

“Flexibility is very present and after the pandemic, hybrid work increased a lot, so that led companies to make new decisions regarding their work spaces to offer their collaborators,” Diepa explained regarding flexible work.

Trends and expectations in the Argentine labor market

The meeting included a panel of experts moderated by Cecilia Giordano, founder of CG Consulting, in which Rocio Robledo, Director of WeWork Argentina and Chile, Francisco Scasserra, Sr. Director at Michael Page, and Andrés Scoccimarro, Chief Data Officer at Modo, participated.

During the panel, key topics were addressed such as the growing demand for work flexibility, employee well-being, and the importance of fostering an inclusive organizational culture.

Rocío Robledo, for her part, emphasized the urgent need for companies to adopt more flexible work practices, an aspect increasingly valued by Argentine workers.

“WeWork positioned itself as one of the leaders in the flexible workspace industry, because it achieved from the beginning, from its very objective, to be able to be prepared to offer services and spaces suitable for the future of work, such as the combination of innovative spaces, advanced technology and an environment that allows our community to increase productivity,” said Robledo.

The role of technology in the evolution of work

In addition to current trends, the impact of technology on the transformation of the work environment was discussed. Stephanie Cherni, an expert in technological innovations, blockchain and artificial intelligence, gave a talk on how these technologies allow for the constant change of ways of working.

Cherni stated that artificial intelligence, in particular, will modify the tasks we perform, but also the way we approach them, allowing for greater personalization and efficiency in work processes.

Closing with a sensory experience

To conclude the event, a tasting activity was organized by the Alta Vista Winery. Attendees were able to enjoy a selection of four wines, which allowed them, in addition to tasting, to learn about the production process and the history behind each one. This final activity served as an informal space for participants to continue the exchange of ideas and strengthen professional ties.

“WeWork offers, compared to other market alternatives, the optimization of the spaces that each company can acquire. The space that absolutely converses with the business culture, apart from a cost optimization that reaches almost 25% that has to do with having all the services included,” added Valeria Cavallero, Sales Director of the company, about the benefits that its users have.

The company has established itself as a global benchmark in the offer of flexible work spaces, adapting to the needs of a constantly changing labor market. With more than 859 locations in 151 cities in 38 countries, the flexible work company provides solutions that allow companies of all sizes to manage and grow their businesses in an environment that promotes collaboration.
